Frequently Asked Questions Answered

As industry experts, we strongly recommend starting with our carefully developed standard formulas, and here's why.

By white-labeling one of our standard products, you benefit from lower costs and faster turnaround times. Since these formulas are already optimized and produced at scale, you get proven, market-ready products without the guesswork—perfect for testing the market or launching quickly.

On the other hand, custom formulations require a significantly higher investment and longer development timelines. You're not just paying more—you're also taking on the risk of an untested product, with lower production volumes and extended lead times.

For most brands, starting with a standard formula is the smarter, faster, and more cost-effective path to market.

For Stock Products: The MOQ is 100 units per SKU. This allows you to quickly test the market and gather product feedback with a lower initial investment.

For Custom Products: The MOQ depends on the complexity of the formula and the dosage form. For example, we have pilot-scale equipment for capsules that supports small-batch trial production in the early stage. This allows you to validate the formula or conduct small-scale market testing before moving to full production. (Details can be discussed based on your specific needs.)

The cost of bringing a product to market varies based on your choices and requirements.

If you choose one of our standard in-stock products, the cost per unit typically ranges from $3 to $20, depending on the product type and order volume. These products are already developed and tested, offering greater cost predictability.

For custom formulations, the cost per unit generally falls between $4 and $30, influenced by factors such as ingredient selection, flavor development, and R&D input.

Please note: The above cost includes bottling, desiccant packaging, cap and induction sealing, GMP-compliant testing, tamper-evident neck bands, and label application—covering the full scope of production. It does not include: label printing, finished product shipping, or marketing expenses. We believe in transparency—so you can make informed decisions every step of the way.

We offer a wide range of packaging options to suit different product formats and market needs:

  • Bottles: PET bottles, HDPE bottles, glass bottles (available in various sizes and shapes)
  • Flexible Packaging: Side seal bags, stand-up pouches, sachets/stick packs
  • Other Formats: Blister packs, strip packs

About Custom Packaging:

We also offer custom packaging options. Please note that custom packaging typically involves higher MOQs set by packaging suppliers. Feel free to contact us for more information.

About Customer-Supplied Packaging:

If you prefer to use your own bottles or pouches, we accept customer-supplied packaging. Please send us samples in advance for evaluation to ensure compatibility with our filling lines.

Lead Time for Stock Products:

For new clients, standard products—including capsules, liquids, powders, and tablets—are typically ready for shipment within 4 weeks after the final artwork is approved and the printed labels arrive at our facility.

Reordering Tips:

We recommend ordering double the quantity of labels with your first order. This not only gives you better pricing on label printing but also allows for faster reordering—since labels are already on hand, production can begin immediately without waiting for new labels to be printed.

Production Workflow:

Please note that production scheduling begins once the printed labels have arrived at our facility. Timely preparation of packaging materials is essential to ensuring on-time delivery.

From raw material intake to finished product release, SMP Nutra follows a rigorous and standardized product testing and quality control process.

Throughout the entire production and packaging lifecycle, all raw materials undergo multiple rounds of inspection and verification to ensure every step meets strict quality standards.

Our testing protocols are designed to meet and, in many key areas, exceed FDA/cGMP standards—ensuring the safety, purity, and consistency of every product we deliver.

From source to finished product, traceable testing data supports the quality and integrity of every order.
